Week of April 23-25

Hello,
We will not be having class on Tuesday April 23. Plan to complete your article review at this time.

Also, I will be visiting your classrooms for observations of your Social Studies Lessons.
Tentaively, I will be visiting Rolenthea on Monday April 22 at 9am. (please let me know if this is right)
I will be visiting Wylee on Wednesday April 24th at 8:30.
I will be visiting Tyson on Wednesday April 24th at 10:00.

For Thursday April 25th plan to present your article that was given in class. Make sure you print out your materials before class.

Wednesay May 2
Your final will be held on May 2 at 3pm. Plan to stay the entire 2 hours.

Tuesday April 16th

Hello,
For Tuesday April 16th, your units will be due at this time. I will not be giving any time in class to work on. Your unit must be completed as I will be reviewing them for your upcoming lesson delivery. I will not take any late units.

Also, read Chapter 12-Four Great Resources, pages 431-446. Then complete the reflect question found on page 442, submit in the comment section below by 12:55pm.

We will not be meeting on Tuesday, you will be meeting with Lisa from 1-2:30 that day since we will be at Ft. Yates on Thursday April 11-12th.

Thursday April 4

Hello,
For Thursday, you are to complete your Phase 3 of the Unit. Finish only part B of phase 3, which is to choose one of the 21 lessons presented in your text, and use as part of your unit. You will rewrite the lesson from the text onto the Lesson Plan template that I emailed to you. Your lesson plan must be completly filled out and typed. I will review your lesson in class and give you immedate feedback. This will be graded. Any questions please get a hold of me.

Hello,
We will be meeting at the Teacher Resource Library for Tuesday's class. Please be there by 1:15. Plan to stay until 3 as we will be combining Social Studies and Science methods. Below is the address if you are unsure of where it is located.

For Tuesday March 26th, read Chapter 9-Five Great Teaching Strategies pages 315-340.
After your reading summarize as follows:

Strategy 1. Teaching Concepts-Tyson: Summarize this section, write out your summary and bring to class and be prepared to share with class

Strategy 2. Teaching with Inquiry-Wylee: Summarize this section, write out your summary and bring to class and be prepared to share with class

Strategy 3. Teaching Social Studies Skills-Ro: Summarize this section, write out your summary and bring to class and be prepared to share with class

Be sure to write out your summaries before class. It does not have to be typed.
Come to class ready to discuss chapter 9.

For Thursday March 21, finish reading chapter 8, pages 287-312. Take notes and be prepared to discuss in class.
Also bring in 2-3 questions for the following information pertaining to Egypt: Location, People, Language, Modes of Transporation.
